In addition to his legal background, Mr. Carney’s work history includes: 1) his appointment by the Governor to serve as the Palm Beach County Tax Collector, 2) a Tax Specialist at KPMG Peat Marwick, and 3) Deputy Counsel to the State Treasurer of Massachusetts.

Mr. Carney is a past President of the Delray Beach Kiwanis Club, past President of Child Care Resource and Referral (Not for Profit), past Chairman of the Palm Beach County Planning and Zoning Commission and is on the Board of Bethesda Hospital Foundation.
